Infant Jesus Church is a Catholic Church located in Kovaipudur. It is also called as Kuniamuthur by the Locals. Bishop Visuwaram laid an idea of building this Church and was searching for the right spot for constructing this Church near the highway but unfortunately he died before his dream of constructing this Church. Later this Church was built and was attached to Madukkarai Parish.  Initially Sunday Mass Prayer  was conducted in a House and a large number of  people used to gather here and they used to dedicate their prayers to Special Protection Force guarding this wonderful Nation. Lateron, a fund was raised and a land was bought for constructing this Sacred Church with the picturesque back-drop of Vellayangiri hills to the west. Many local people contributed and a small Chapel was built in the year 1984. Since many people residing in and around this Church wished to perform Weekly Novena of Infant Jesus of Prague. This Novana way of Worship was introduced in the year 1985. As the Church kept on gaining importance huge number of devotees from far flung areas started coming to this Church to perform Sunday Mass prayers and Weekly Novena of Infant Jesus of Prague, So the Church Authorities wanted to build a bigger Church. Fr. Kulandairaj worked hard in constructing the new Church Complex. This New Church Complex was consecrated on 04-06-1987 by Rev. Bishop Ambrose. A new Bell-Tower was built by Fr. P.Irudayaraj and was blessed by same Bishop Ambrose on 08-09-1993. In order to accommodate the increasing Devotees a Huge open-air hall with overhead roofing was constructed. by Fr. Lourdhu Irudayaraj and was inaugurated by Rev. Bishop Ambrose on 12-01-1997. A Grotto of Calvary was built in the year 2002. Fr. Dhanasekar built the stations of the cross with life like statues in the year 2005. Fr. Dhanasekar along with the Devotees constructed Thottil Gebi or Cradle of Chapel to encourage the parents to lay their children in a cradle to get the special blessings of Infant Jesus. On every Thursday, during Novena Prayer, those who receive special blessings will give witness message in order to encourage others to have more faith in Infant Jesus.
