The Presiding Deity of this Temple is Lord Balasubramaniyaswamy who is also known as Lord Murugan. This Temple is known as Vennaimalai Murugan Temple. The Temple is located on the Karur to Pugalur Main Road. This Temple is located on a small hillock called Vennaimalai and Devotees have to climb 50-60 steps to reach the temple top and the Sanctum Sanctorum. There is a three tiered Rajagopuram for this Temple and a Dwajasthambam can be seen in front of the Temple Complex. The Sanctum Sanctorum of this Temple is built facing North West direction which is very unique. There are Idols of Lord Kasi Viswanathar and Goddess Visalakshi at this Temple and some Devotees come exclusively for Praying to them. There is a Sacred Tank for this Temple and it is known as Thenu Theertham. Thai Poosam, Aadi Kiruthigai are celebrated in a grand manner here. Like any other Murugan Temples this Temple too has a huge number of fan following and the Devotees in and around Karur District often visit here since many among them have this Presiding Deity as their Kula Deivam. Many people from Karur District and elsewhere who are not Blessed with kids come here and pray to Vennaimalai Murugan and it is believed that their wishes would soon be fulfilled by Him.
