A Welcome Arch has been erected on the GST Road leading to the Temple. The Temple has been built on a small hill. A rugged motorable road leads us to the Temple for which a vehicle has to pay Rs.50/- to the Temple authorities. The Presiding Deity is Lord Dhandayuthapani otherwise known as Lord Murugan. He resembles the Presiding Deity of Palani Murugan Temple. The Presiding Deity is just 3 feet tall and made of Maragadha Stone. There are nearly 120 footsteps too leading to the Temple. Kanchi Mutt Periyavar visited this place and wanted it to be named as Nadu Palani, which was earlier known locally as Perukkaranai. The Temple was built around 40 years ago by Muthuswamy Pillai, whose Jeeva Samadhi is found on the Hilltop. Now its governed by Mysore Sri Ganapathy Sachidananda Swamy. Currently the Temple management is being done by Nadupalani Dhandayuthapani Dattatreya Trust. An Anjaneya and an Idumban Shrine is found on the foot hill. The Sthala Viruksham is a combination of Vembu and Arasa Maram. There is a Shrine for Naga Dattatreya. Thai Poosam and Panguni Uthiram attract lots of Devotees. There is an artificial fountain in the name of Saravanapoigai. Several Banyan trees are seen around this Temple. The 40 feet Murugan Statue is a huge attraction. There is a Temple Chariot.
