Arulmigu Thiru Periyandavar Thirukoil is located in Banduvarpatti in Sattur in Virudhunagar District. The Presiding Deity is also called fondly as Periyandavar Karuppusamy by the local residents of this area. Chithirai (Tamil Month) Thiruvizha is celebrated in this famous Temple when all people in and around this area throng this particular temple. It starts with the Lighting of the lamp or the Kuthuvilakku by around 6pm followed by a Villupaatu orchestra which is much enjoyed by the local folks. Following this the Midnight  Pooja is done with  great reverance.
