The Presiding Deity of this Temple Lord Brahmapureeswarar who is an incarnation of Lord Shiva. He Blesses His Devotees along with His Consort Devi Brahma Sampath Gowri. There is a separate Shrine for Lord Brahma in this Temple and He can be seen sitting in a Padmasana posture on a Lotus. There are 11 separate Shiva Swayambhu Lingams in this Temple excluding the Presiding Deity. They are namely Sri Pazhamalai Nathar, Sri Paathala Eswarar, Sri Thaayumanavar, Sri Manduga Nathar, Sri Ekambareswarar, Sri Arunachaleswarar, Sri Kailasa Nathar, Sri Jambukeshwarar, Sri Kalathi Nathar, Sri Sapthagreeswarar and Sri Sudharaneswarar. Most of these Shiva Lingams are installed in separate Shrines, which are situated around the Brahma Theertham. On the 13th day of the Pradhosham scores of Devotees come here to offer their Prayers to Nandhi Baghavan. It is firmly believed that a visit to this Temple is followed by Good Luck due to His Divine Blessings and all the miseries of the Devotees would vanish in thin air.
