Devanathaswamy Temple is located in Thiruvahindrapuram or Thiruvanthipuram in Cuddalore Town. The Presiding Deity of this Temple is Devanatha Perumal and He is an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. He Blesses His Devotees along with His Consort Goddess Hemabujavalli. This Temple is one of the 108 Divya Desam that is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Though the Presiding Deity is Lord Devanatha Swamy Lord Hayagrivar is more Prominent Here. This is the only Temple in South India to have a Shrine for Hayagrivar. It is believed that this Temple was built by Chola Kings and was later Developed by Pandyas, Hoysala and Vijayanagara Kings. There is a five tiered Rajagopuram and the entire Temple is surrounded by a tall granite wall. This Temple follows vadakalai style of Tradition. Chittarai Brahmmotsavom Masi Mahotsavam are celebrated in a grand manner.
