The Presiding Deity of this Temple is Shyamala Matha and She is an incarnation of Goddess Kali. This Kali Bari Temple is located on a beautiful Hill Top with a great back drop of Himalayan Mountain Range and surrounded with lush green grasses and vegetation. This Temple is one of the most Sacred Places in Shimla. It is believed to have been built around 100 years ago. This Temple was initially built by a Bengali Brahmin Ram Charan Brahmachari. This Temple is built by following the Hindu Style of Archirecture. The Presiding Deity here is Blue in colour and made out of wood. There are Idols of Devis like Maa Tara, Maa Bhavani, Maa Kumar Sati, Maa Rudrarant, Maa Meenakshi, Maa Chamundi and Maa Himavati. Durga Pooja, Navarathri, Diwali are some of the festivals celebrated in a grand manner and during this period lots of Devotees and Tourists come to this Temple then to get the Blessings of Goddess Kali.
