Kerekattiganoor is a small village located on the outskirts of Nelamangala close to Bangalore - Tumkur Highway. This place is also referred as Mahimapura and the Temple is known as Mahima Ranganatha Swamy Temple. The Presiding Deity Mahima Ranganathasamyis a an incarnation of Lord Vishnu and appears in the shape of a round small stone known as Saligramaa which is unique. The Temple is built in a typical Hoysala style of Architecture. This Temple is located on a hilltop with more than 300 steps to climb. Kids, Elderly and Sick may find it very tough to climb as the steps become steeper as we go uphill. There is a Welocme Arch near the Main Road which leads us to the Temple.It is a place where Garuda did penance and pleased Lord Vishnu. The Idol here was Nirakara which means formless but now they had installed a small Idol As on 2023 the construction atop the Hill Temple is going on in full swing and very soon a new Sanctum Sactorum would be erected. Likewise a small motorable road is also getting ready to reach the Hill Top Temple. Lord Garuda is seen near the Sanctum Sanctorum of this Temple.At the footsteps of the Temple there is a Shrine for Lord Anjaneyaswami with images of Lord Rama. There is a Temple Car which is enclosed & kept at the basement of the Temple.
