Nava Brindhavanam is located in a small island formed on River Thungabhadra in Anegundi. It is the eternally resting place of 9 Saints of the Madhva community which is again a Sub Caste of the Hindu Brahmins and hence called as Nava Brundhavana. It falls under the jurisdiction of Koppal administration though its a private property managed by the Uttaradi Mutt. There are 2 ways to reach the Nava Brindhavan in Hampi. They can do so by road since its located in Anegundi. Otherwise they can reach here from Hampi through waterways. It can either be reached through a Coracle or a Steamer for which they collect a payment from the Visitors. The Nava Brindhavan is South facing with a small iron gate at the entry point. It is located on an eleavted place with rocks all around. The actual Nava Brindhavan which is actually the Samadhi of the nine Madhwa Saints is enclosed within an iron grill so that the visitors could not go there. Entry is strictly for the Purohits who offer Prayers. There is a Stone Sthoobi facing the Nava Brundhavanam and on top of each one of them they have planted a Thulasi sapling. The nine Saints in the Nava Brindhavan are 1) Padhmanabha Theertharu, 2) Jaya Theertharu, 3) Kavindra Theertharu, 4) Vageesha Theertharu, 5) Vyasaraja Theertharu, 6) Shrivasa Theertharu, 7) Rama Theertharu, 8) Sudhindra Theertharu and 9) Govindha Theertharu. There is a West facing Sub Shrine overlooking the Nava Brindhavana in which there is an Idol of Anjaneya Swamy with a Sangu and a Chakram on the threshold. He is found as a Yoga Anjaneya Swamy. There is an elevated podium with a rock on it and a Naga Devatha Image is drawn on the rock. It is believed that in the recent past some unauthorised persons trespassed into the Nava Brindhavan's restricted area and dug up the entire place uprooting many things. Some say that it was intentionally done by treasure hunters of that area with a belief that they would get some treasure trove from there. It is sad that dogs and other animals roam freely within the premises. Also it seems that it is ill maintained with grass and other plants growing in and around it. The Uttardi Mutt ought to take more care of it since the religious sentiments of the Devotees are involved. Dress code here has been mentioned as Veshti or Dhoti and without banian or Shirt. In reality Visitors who come here enter the premises with Pant and Shirt too since there in none to monitor.
