Periya Anjaneyar Temple, Ambur,Tirupattur District,Tamil Nadu.  There is a Welcome Arch leading to the Temple but parking a car is so difficult in this narrow and congested lane. The Presiding Deity of this Temple is Lord Hanuman. On the upperside of the Sanctum Sanctorum there is a Ramar Pataabisheka Idol which attracts the attention of the Devotees.  The Sanctum Sanctorum consists of Two Anjaneyaswamy Deities of equal height. One Deity is multi coloured whereas the other black Idol Anjaneya Swamy stands slightly away.  The Idol of  Lord Hanuman is made out of a 11 feet black stone and He is found in a standing posture facing North but at the same time this Anjaneya Swamy's face is East facing. The Main Idol shows Lord Anjaneya stamping Lord Sani Bhagavan beneath His feet.  Hence it is believed that anyone having troubles or Sani Dhosham could come here and Pray to this Anjaneya Swamy and He would take care of the rest and save His Devotees.  The Urchavamoorthy Vigrahams are also kept beneath the Moolavar Deity. The Temple is believed to be renovated by King Krishnadevaraya around 1489 AD.  On the outer peripheral of the Temple is another Idol of Hanuman seen carrying the Sanjeevi Hill in order to save Lakshmana and this has been etched on a stone and displayed.  Beneath a Neem Tree several Naga Devatha Idols are kept.   On a slanting wall a huge Thengalai Thirumann along with a Sangu and Chakaram is kept and on either side of it there are Idols of Anjaneyar and Garudalwar.  The Temple Maha Kumbabishekam was performed in 1987. A huge Deepasthambham is present in this Temple. It's believed that Lighting Akal Lamp will mitigate the sufferings of the Devotees.  A huge Tonsuring shed is available for the benefits of the Devotees and beside it is a Ghoshala where they take care of the few cattles. There is a mandapam where Padi Kaanikai can be done.  There is a huge Annadhana Koodam with tables and chairs where free food distribution to the Devotees.  A Temple Office is found within the Temple premises for the sake of Devotees who have Enquiries to make.  It's believed that the Foot Prints of Lord Anjaneya is found in a nearby village, Aanai Madugu.
