This Temple is located in a lush green hilly terrain in Devarayana Durga in Tumkur District. There is a Welcome Arch located close to the Highway from where the Ghat Road to this Temple starts. This Motorable Ghat Road right from the Welcome Arch upto the Hill Temple is kept meticulously clean with a scenic beauty. The Presiding Deity here is Bhoga Lakshmi Narasimhaswamy who is an incarnation of Maha Vishnu. His Consort is Mahalakshmi and She is placed in a separate Shrine. Devarayana Durga means "FORT OF GOD" and it got its name from the then Mysore Ruler Chikka Devaraja Wodeyar who won this place. The Temple is believed to have been built around 2000 years ago in a typical Karnataka Wodeyar style and the Chola Rulers patronized this Temple to a great extent. Special Archana ticket is available at the entrance of the Temple. There is a Dwajasthambam and a Silver Car or Chariot is to the right of it. There is a Temple Office functioning close to the Dwajasthambam. A small rectangular Mandapam with a huge image of Sri Lakshmi Narasimhar is available and small functions could be performed here. On entering the Sanctum Sanctorum the Urchavamoorthy Sri Surya Narayana Perumal along with Bhoo Devi and Sri Devi is seen and close to Him Lord Garudar is found. A Thulabaaram or a Divine weighing scale is available for the Devotees to give their offerings to God. There is ample Car Parking space and close to it is the footwear stand and several rows of shops selling all Divine products.
