The Presiding Deity of this Temple is Lord Shiva, in the form of a Shivalingam. The huge golden colour dome with a sitting Idol of Lord Shivan is the cynosure of all eyes. There is a black Nandhi Vaahanam over looking the Sanctum Sanctorum. There are sever other types of Shiva Lingam which denotes the 27 Stars or Nakshatram. The Temple is locally known as Sithampalam Sivan Temple. This Temple is also referred as Navagraha Temple by some localites. It was built about few years ago in a Northern style Architecture. The credit of building this Temple goes to a Hindu Priest called Kamatchikodi and his followers. The Temple is located in Chinnakoundan Pudhur in Chittambalam near Palladam. The huge Shiva lingam is guarded by a 5 headed Serpent. A huge Nandhi, fenced and surrounded by a water spring is kept opposite to the Main Deity. The Temple has a Shrine for Lord Vinayaka with a Homa Kundam just before it. The Temple has its office within its premises. This Temple is very famous for conducting Chandi Homam on every Full Moon Day or Pournami. There is an exclusive Yaaga Salai which is guarded by two Dwara Baalakas. Homams and Yaagams could be done in this place even during rainy days and the gold colour Naagar and other similar looking Idols are glittering. The Temple Admin takes great care to distribute Prasadams to each and every Devotee visiting here. Generally Mobile Phones and Videography are not encouraged by the Temple Admin. The Temple has a cemented Car Parking within its premises. In recent years many Devotees from Thiruppur, Erode and Coimbatore Districts make a beeline to this Temple due to which its name and fame is gradually wide spreading to even a distant corners.
