Sri Aadhi Jaganathar Temple is located in Tirupullani and it has a East facing 5 tiered Rajagopuram. At the entrance of the Rajagopuram there is a pair of Dwara Baalagas. It has a pillared Mandapam opposite to the Rajagopuram and there too is a pair of Dwara Baalakas facing the Temple. Beyond this Mandapam is the Chakkra Theertham or the Sacred Tank of the Temple. After the Rajagopuram there is a Dwajasthambam and a Bali Peedam. Most of the Mandapams have huge multiple pillars and embellished with the Idols of Gods and Vaishnava Saints. At the start of each enclosures are Dwara Baalakas. In this abode it is said that Pullavar, Kavalar and Kanvar Saints were harassed by the Demons and so Lord Jagannathar appeared in Thiruppullani to slay the Demons and save the Saints. In the Sanctum Sanctorum the Presiding Deity of Sri Aadhi Jagannatha Perumal is found in a East facing sitting posture and He is flanked by His Divine Consorts Sri Devi and Bhoo Devi. The Urchavamoorthy Idol is known as Kalyana Jagannathar and there is another small Idol of Santhana Gopalakrishnan. It is said that those who are childless would be blessed with the kid if they perform a 48 day Kumkum Archana. Facing the Sanctum Sanctorum is the Idol of Sannadhi Garudalwar. The inner walls of the Moolasthanam are painted with the Images of 108 Divya Desams. On the way to the Thaayar Sannadhi are 12 Idols of Alwars who are as follows: Thirupanaalwar, Thondaradipodialwar, Periyalawar, Kulasekaraalwar, Madurakavialwar, Nammalwar, Thirumazhisaialwar, Periyalwar, Boothathalwar, Thirumangaialwar, Andal and Poigaialwar. The Thaayar is called as Padmasini Thaayar and She is found in a separate multi pillared Shrine. At the threshold of Her Shrine is a pair of Dwara Baalakis. The walls of the Thaayar Sannadhi are painted with the Images of Ashta Lakshmi and Dasavatharams. Close to the Thaayar Shrine a Yoga Narasimhar along with Sri Devi and Bhoo Devi is seen. There is a Peepal Tree beneath which few Naga Devathas are found the Tree is hung with several wooden cradles. Close to this is another Neem Tree under hundreds of Naga Devatha Idols are kept. These Idols are kept there as a remembrance of those childless couples who bore a kid after praying here. The Dharbasayana Ramar is depicted in a reclined posture as though He is sleeping on the Divine Dharbha Grass on the lap of His brother Lakshmana. There is a pair of Divine Feet supposed to have been that of Rama. The Pattabisheka Ramar Sannidhi is dedicated to Lord Rama after His victory over Ravana and going back to Ayodhya. Here He is seen in a standing posture armed with His Kothandam and found along with Seetha, Lakshmana and Anjaneyar in the Divinely Ramar Pattaabisheka Kolam. The Urchavamoorthy Idols too are found within the same Shrine. The Thirukkanamudhu which is called as Payasam in Tamil is a sweet porridge and this is said to be the speciality Prasadam of this Temple. Thulabaaram facilities exists here for the sake of Devotees. There is a Temple Kitchen and an Annadhana Koodam to serve food to the Devotees. Sri Rama Navami, Aadhi Jagannathar Uthsavam, Panguni Brahmmothsavam are some of the festivals celebrated in a grand manner. While the Puri Jagannath Temple is considered as Uthra Jagannath and Chennai Thirumazhisai Jagannath as the Madhya Jagannath this Thiruppullani Temple is considered as Dakshina Jagannath Temple. Thiruppullani becomes more venerated and reverred since the Sri Lankan King Vibeeshana took refuge at the feet of Lord Rama.
