The Presiding Deity of this Temple is Goddess Banashankari and She is considered to be an incarnation of Goddess Sakthi. This Temple is located close to Kanakapura Road in South Bangalore. THis Temple is considered to be the most Sacred Temple in Banglore City. All Wishes of Devotees with true faith are full filled. This Temple was establisted by Basappa Shetty in the year 1915. It is believed that this Idol of the Presiding Deity belongs to 7th century of Chalukyan era. In theyear 630 AD Jagadekamalla I installed this Idol of Presiding Deity here. This Temple was later rebuilt in the 18th Century AD. The Original Temple complex was built by following the Chalukyan and Vijayanagara Style of Architecture.
