This Durga Parameshwari Temple is located on the Kollur to Udupi National Highway in a place called Kumbhashi in Kundapura Taluk of Karnataka. There is a huge white 5 tiered Rajagopuram standing on gray coloured pillars, steel gate etc and the very sight of it looks imposing and awesome to any Devotee who sees it. On entering the compound of the Temple there is a huge function hall with a podium where Divine functions as well as Marriages could be held. Thousands of Visitors could be seated there with effortless ease. The entire Temple has been built with solid concrete construction and has been painted in an astonishing white, maroon and golden colours which are so eye captivating to any commoner visiting here. A lot of wood work has been done within the Temple and they are so enchanting to look at. Most of the Temple roofing looks similar to Mangalore roof style. Just before the Main Shrine is a Seva Kendra where a Devotee can know the type of Poojas to be done and its fee etc. There is a Yaaga Mandapam situated just opposite to the Main Shrine. Just before the Main Shrine is an elevated podium with around 4 to 5 steps. At the centre of this Podium is a huge Banyan Tree and on either side of the Tree there is a Raahu and a Kethu Idols made out of a black stone and facing this is a Bali Peedam and a Thulasi Maadam. Within these is a tall metallic Dwajasthambam. Most of these are gold plated with a majestic awe inspiring appearence. The Temple looks majestic and on either side of the threshold is a pair of black Elephant Idols. The Presiding Deity of Goddess Durga Parameshwari is found in the Sanctum Sanctorum which has multiple pillars and is stocked with Silver and Gold platings. An Oonjal or a Swing along with a Thulabaaram is seen here. There are Sub Shrines for Maha Ganapathi, Srinivasa Perumal, or Venkatramana, Naga Devathai, Naga Yakshi and Swarna Yakshini. The Temple has its own Kitchen or Madapalli. Outside the Temple premises is a huge and modern Pushkarani or Sacred Tank. The Temple Office is located within its premises. Every Nook and Corner of this Temple is covered by CCTV. The car parking has ample space to park any number of vehicles and there are two Temple book stalls in this area. The entire Temple complex is heavily guarded with security staff. This Temple is neither under the Goverrnment control or under any Trust. Instead Shri Devaraya Manjunath Sheregar, a well known and reputed industrialist from Mumbai had built this Temple at this place following a request from the Goddess in the dreams of this Industrialist.
