Pazhangamur or Palangamur is a small hamlet located in Arani Taluk very close to Irumbedu Village in Thiruvannamalai District. In Pazangamur there is a small Welcome Arch on the road which leads us to a cart track road to reach Sri Visalakshi Samedha Sri Kasi Visvanathar Temple. The Presiding Deity is Sri Kasi Viswanathar who is an incarnation of Lord Shiva and He is found as a Shiva Lingam in the Sanctum Sanctorum. There is a Nandhi Bhagwan and a Bali Peedam facing the Sanctum Sanctorum. His Consort Goddess Kasi Visalakshi who is an incarnation of Goddess Parvathy Blesses Her Devotees from another Shrine. There is a Simha Vaahana Idol and Bali Peedam facing the Shrine of Goddess Kasi Visalakshi and there is a tinned roofing covering all these. There are Sub Shrines for Naalvar, Vinayagar, Dhakshinamoorthy, Brahmma, Maha Vishnu, Durgai, Chandikeshwarar, Valli Devasena Samedha Shanmugar, Kaala Bhairavar and Suryan. The Navagraha Sannadhi is unique since Surya Bhagwan could be seen on His Chariot drawn by several horses. The Sthala Viruksham of this Temple is a Vilva Tree. It is said that Kasi Viswanathar Blesses those Devotees who come here and Pray for their Marriage and in these cases their marriage wishes are soon fulfilled. Since this Temple is located in a far flung hamlet there are hardly any Devotees visiting here. Hence those desirous of seeing this Temple could contact the Temple Purohit or Mrs.Valli who resides opposite to the Temple.
