Sri Kothanda Ramaswami Temple is located in a narrow Nethaji Road in Hosur Town. The Temple comprises of a small but attractive 3 tiered Rajagopuram. On entering the Temple there are two Dwajasthambams, of which one is a metallic while the other is carved out of stone. There is a Bali Peedam and next to it is a small Sub Shrine for Garudalwar which faces the Sanctum Sanctorum of the Temple. Kothandaramar is found in the Moolavar Sannadhi fully armed with Bow and Arrows and next to Him is Goddess Seetha and Lakshmana, all in a standing posture. The Presiding Deity of Kothanda Ramar is seen tilting His Head to one side as though He is hearing the Wishes or Requests of His Devotees. Hence some of the Devotees call Him as "Sevi Saitha Ramar". Lord Hanuman is not seen along with the above three in the Sanctum Sanctorum but is found just a few feet away standing as Baktha Anjaneya Swamy. Close to it is the Urchavamoorthis along with a few other Deities and all of them are neatly placed within a glass enclosure. Close to it is found a few Idols of Naga Devathas. The Varaha Lakshmi Narasimhar made out of Saligramam is so eye captivating and He occupies a Sub Shrine close to the Moolavar Sannadhi. There are Sub Shrines for Alwars who are arranged in an orderly way. Other than this Vinayagar, Chakrathalwar and Navagraham too are found in various Sub Shrines. The ceiling opposite to the Navagraha Sannadhi has a Golden Lizard or Thanga Gowli similar to that of the Varadaraja Perumal Temple, Kanchipuram. With its limited space the Temple authorities have placed various Idols depicting from the Ramayana and this attracts any Devotee visiting here. On the outer peripherals they do have another Sannadhi for Naga Devathas beneath an Arasa Maram. A Temple Chariot or a Temple Car is found. The Temple has a Madapalli for preparing prasadam. The Temple has a separate room for storing the Kovil Vaahanam. Sri Rama Navami, Hanumath Jayanthi, Narasimha Jayanthi etc are celebrated in a grand manner. This Temple in recent days attracts a lot of Devotees because they come to the Sevi Saitha Kothanda Ramar with their own requests and Prayers and it is no wonder that most of them are fullfilled by Lord Kothanda Ramar.
