Sri Lakshmi Narasimhar Temple is located in a small village called Singiri Koil quite close to Kannamangalam in Vellore District. The road leading to the Temple is muddy and rickety. There is a small Welcome Arch and vehicles could be parked around this area. It is a Hill Temple and is East facing. There are about 100 steps to be claimed to reach the Temple top. The sick and elders may find it difficult in climbing but at the same time it is not impossible too. Halfway through the steps there is a Yoga Anjaneyar Sub Shrine and close to it is a small stage with an enclosure. This area has been fenced and the floor has lovely tiles. Divine functions and certain other rituals could be conducted here. While climbing the steps there is a Sacred Tree midway and beneath this is a Thirumann and two Naga Devatha Idol. The inscriptions found in this Temple reveals that the Temple is more than 1350 years old and had been initiated by the then Vijaya Nagara Emperors. The Temple has steel railings to guide the Devotees before they enter the Temple premises. There is a Garudalwar Sub Shrine facing the Moolasthanam. Likewise the walls of the Temple has a Garaudalwar and Anjaneyar Idols embossed on it. The threshold leading to the Moolasthanam are beautifully gold plated and there are two black Idols of Dwara Baalakas. The Sanctum Sanctorum is East facing and spacious. Lord Lakshmi Narasimhar is seen in a sitting posture in a Santha Swaroopa manner. He has Lakshmi on His right lap unusually unlike other Temples where Narasimhar seats Goddess Lakshmi on His left lap. Lord Narasimhar is seen with four hands and looks majestic measuring around 6 feet while in a seated posture. One hand holds the Conch while the second hand holds the Chakkara, the third hand is on His lap while the fourth hand is around the waist of Goddess Lakshmi. Various Idols of the Urchavamoorthis are found within the Moolasthanam. There is a separate Sub Shrine for Anjaneya Swamy who is affectionately known as Bala Anjaneyar measuring just around 1 and half feet. Many childless couple come here to offer prayers and it is believed that they are all Blessed with a kid very soon. Devotees are allowed to circumambulate the Moolasthanam but the rear of the Moolasthanam has a huge boulder like rock intruding and hence the passage here gets narrowed. The Temple have earmarked a separate place for lighting oil lamps since they could not be lit anywhere. While coming down the steps there are few shops selling Divine articles and eatables. Though this Temple is situated on a remote hilltop its name and fame has started spreading and in recent days there is a steady inflow of Devotees even on normal days. Narasimha Jayanthi is celebrated in a grand manner in this Temple.
