Sri Lakshmi Narasimhaswamy Temple is located in Pazhapettai or Oldpet in Krishnagiri and is believed to be more than 1200 years old. This Temple is built close to a huge hillock. The Giri in Krishnagiri itself denotes a hill or hillock. This is a East facing Temple which has been renovated in recent years with the help of Devotees. The Temple has a five tiered East facing Rajagopuram which is partially hidden by the temporary tin sheet roofing of the Temple. There is a tall stone Dwajasthambam facing the Temple. Beneath this Dwajasthambam or Kodi Maram there is an East facing Idol of Anjaneyar and another West facing Idol of Garudalwar which overlooks the Moolasthanam. The four pillars under the tin sheet roofing have 4 different coloured Yaali Idols. There is a Neivedhya Peedam or a Bali Peedam, a tall Dwajasthambam and a Garudalwar Sub Shrine facing the Moolasthanam. The Temple premises has been built on an elevated platform and Devotees may have to climb around 5 steps. There are two ways to enter the Temple and Devotees could climb these five steps through one way and climb down through the other five steps while coming out of the Moolasthana Mandapam. These steps are embellished with the Idols of Simha Vaahanam. The multi pillared Mandapam just before the Moolasthanam is beautifully carved with intricate Idols on them inclusive of a Ganapathy and Anjaneyar. There are two huge East facing black Dwara Baalaka Idols just before the Sanctum Sanctorum. On the entrance to the Moolasthanam are two gold plated thresholds with glittering Images all over. In the Moolasthanam the Presiding Deity of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy is seen East facing. He is seen in a seated posture with Goddess Lakshmi in His left lap. This Presiding Deity is believed to be of Saligramam and He is revered here as Santha Swaroopan. There is a Sri Chakkaram beneath the Presiding Deity. Just outside the Moolasthanam all the Urchavamoorthy Idols are safely kept in an enclosure under lock and key. Around the Koshtam there are Idols for Aandal, Saraswathy, Hayagreevar, Sriman Narayanan, Sri Brahmma, Sri Vishnu Durgai and Sri Mahalakshmi. The outer peripheral has a multi pillared corridor and on the left corridor there are three gold plated Images of Lizard, Fish and a Tortoise. There is a Thulabaara facility available next to these gold plated Images. The outer peripheral has a East facing Sri Venugopala Swamy Sub Shrine in which He is seen along with a flute. Beyond this is a wooden cradle and this Temple is famous for the Uriyadi function. Close to it is a huge coloured drawing of Krishna's Geethobadesam and another drawing of Sri Narasimha Swamy Blessing Prahaladhan. The third painting is known as Sammohana Krishnan and the interesting point here is that half the painting is that of a Krishna and the remaining half is that of Rukmani. Within the same outer peripheral there is a South facing Idol of Ramanujar along with two others in the same Sub Shrine. Next to them is another South facing Idol of Sri Veera Anjaneyar who is seen in a standing posture. The Sthala Viruksham of this Temple is Athi Maram and the Theertham or Pushkarani is Sri Theertham. The Temple has a Madapalli and a Temple well. There is a huge Ghoshala adjacent to the Temple. A Viruksham is found there along with a cemented podium around it. Several Idols of Naga Devathas are kept here and Prayed. Maraka Shankaranthi, Sri Rama Navami, Ratha Sapthami, Hanumath Jayanthi, Narasimha Jayanathi and Gokulashtami are some of the functions celebrated here and during these days the street here gets almost chocked with vehicles of all type.

The only sore point is that the streets and lanes leading to this Temple are very narrow and congested as a result of which parking cars in and around the Temple is so cumbersome for any Devotee.
