Sri Nandhiswarar Temple is located in a small Hamlet called Kaalipalayam close to Panjamadevi in Karur. Some refer this Temple as Nandeeshwarar Gnana Peetam and this Hamlet of Kalipalayam has to be reached through Nerur and Panjamadevi. This Nandheeswarar Gnana Peetam has a South facing Welcome Arch with gorgeous Divine Idols in which Nandheeswarar is seen seated at the centre with two Sages flanking Him on either side. Though this Temple has a South facing Welcome Arch Devotees may have to come through it and enter the Temple premises through a Eastern Gate at which point there is a small East facing Ganapathy Sub Shrine. Then there is a North facing Shrine of Siva Yoga Maamunivar who is in the form of a Shiva Lingam. In the same Shrine, beneath the Siva Yoga Maamunivar is a Swayamabhu Shiva Lingam of Sri Mrithuyunjeswarar. There is a pair of Dwara Baalakas known as Gopathi and Anantha. Facing this Moolasthanam is a small Neivedhya Peedam and a huge Nandhi Vaahanam. Before these there is a miniature Idol of a Vinayagar and He is known here as Sankalapa Vinayagar. It is believed that this Idol of Sankalpaka Vinayar was brought from Mother Earth several decades ago. Close to this are the East facing Sub Shrines of Sathyanathar, Mounaguru Swamigal, Annamalaiyar and Unnamulaiamman. There are two Dwara Baalakas Images of Nandhi and Maha Kaalar drawn on the Sub Shrine of Annamalaiyar. Then there are similar East facing Sub Shrines of Dharmasamvarthini Ambal and Kaalikambal in a standing posture and Kanakadhara Ambal in a sitting posture. Murugan and Krishnar Paadham are seen in two West facing Sannadhis. They have designed a Sri Padma Yanthiram beautifully and to the rear of it is a South facing Sub Shrine of Athreya Maharishi. The area beyond the Sri Padma Yanthiram ought to be construed as the Main Shrine. Here Sadhoganathar is found North facing. Then there are three elevated podiums and the Presiding Deity of Sri Adhi Guru Nandheeswarar is seen centrally seated and East facing. He is flanked by Thavapalaeswarar and Sage Agasthiyar who too are seen East facing. Beneath the Idol of Sri Adhi Guru Nandheeswarar are Sivagnana Yogini, Adhinathar and Chaithanyanathar. The Idol of Karuvur Siddhar is found closeby facing Eastwards. There are two coloured Yaali Idols which gives a facelift to this area attracting the attention of the Devotees. In the same Maha Mandapam there is a North facing Idol of Kanchi Maha Periyava and a South facing Idol of Neerarai Siddhar. Several Divine Images have been framed and made to hung on the wall. Beyond this Maha Mandapam is a East facing Sub Shrine of Sri Ashtabuja Kaala Chakkara Bhairavar and He is seen in a standing posture hold various weapons in His eight hands. Facing the Sub Shrine is a Homakundam. A North facing Sub Shrine for Sivagnananathar is seen in the form of a Shiva Lingam. There is a Navagraha Sannadhi on an elevated platform. An anthill is found in an extreme corner of the Temple and close to this is a West facing Nagaathamman who is seen in a sitting posture and standing guard to Her is a seven headed Serpent. A South facing Idol of a Naga Devatha is seen close to the Nagathamman's Idol. At the extreme end of the Temple is an artificial Sacred Tank in the midst of which there is a Sthambam in which a Nandhi Bhagwan and a Serpent Idols are found. Facing this Sacred Tank is the Sub Shrine of Srila Sri Thavapaleshwarar who is seen here in the form of a Shiva Lingam. Valarparai Asthami, Theipirai Ashtami, Pradhosham are some of the festivals celebrated in a grand manner. 

Since this Temple is located in a distant Hamlet, the Temple authorities provide a few rooms with basic amenities and food.
