This Temple has several names but it was initially started as Sri Iyyappan Temple in Vennaimalai. In the earlier times it was mentioned as Sri Sabareesan Siddhashramam. Later when the Shrine of Padharasa LIngam was added to this Temple people started recognising it as Padarasa Lingam or Mercury Lingam Temple. Though it is around 35 years since the Temple was started several Shrines including that of the Padharasa LIngam Shrine was added one after the other. The Temple's main entrance is South facing but the Temple itself is East facing.  Beneath a Arasa Maram and a Vembu Tree are the Idols of Naga Devathas and Sapthamathas. Beneath the Sthala Viruksham of Mantharai Tree is a Virat Vishwakarma Parabrahmam Idol which is North facing and this Idol has five faces and 10 hands. Close to this is a black Idol of Thiruvalluvar. Then there is a North facing Sub Shrine for Sri Ashtabuja Aiswarya Jaya Durgai who is seen in a standing posture and the Gopuram of Her Shrine has been built in the style of Mahameru Vimanam. There are two Dwara Baalagis standing guard at the threshold of Her Shrine. Around Her Shrine are the Idols of Ashta Lakshmi's viz. Aadhi Lakshmi, Thanya Lakshmi, Dhairya Lakshmi, Gajalakshmi, Santhana Lakshmi, Vijayalakshmi, Vidhya Lakshmi and Dhanalakshmi. The Padharasa Lingam is known as Sri Siddhavedeshwarar and He is East facing and in the form of a Shiva Lingam. Instead of the usual Dwara Baalakas there are two Idols of Sri Kamakshi Vinayagar and Sri Bala Murugan at the threshold. In the Maha Mandapam the Idols of Thirugnana Sammandhar, Thirunavukkarasar, Sundaramurthy Swamigal, Manikavasagar, Vivekanadar, Ramakrishna Paramahamsar, Sadhasiva Brahmmendrar and Ramalinga Adigalar are seen on the pillars. Closeby Sri Adhi Shankarar and Ragavendra Swamigal flank the Idol of Maha Saraswathi. There is also a Sub Shrine for Sri Anjaneya Swamy who is seen in a East facing and standing posture. Close to this is the Shrine of Sri Ayyappa Swami who is seen sitting facing Eastwards. There are 18 steps or 18 Padi beneath His Vigraham. There are two huge Dwara Baalaka Idols standing guard to the Shrine of Sri Iyyappan. Facing this Moolasthanam is a Puli Vaahanam and a Neivedhya Peedam. The Navagraha Sannadhi of this Temple draws attention since it is kept in a circular way quite different from the Navagraha enclosures of other Temples. The main attraction of this Temple is the newly constructed Meditation Hall or Dhyana Mandapam. Before entering this Hall there is an Idol of Thiruvalluvar and Vallalar facing each other. Closeby is another black Idol of the Tamil Annai. The Meditation Hall has to be reached by going down the steps. The hall is circular in shape and is built out of dazzling black stones. The Padharasa Lingam or the Mercury Lingam placed at the centre of the hall is the star attraction of all Devotees visiting here. It is eye captivating and resembles the colour of Mercury. Around this Padarasa Lingam they have installed the Siddhar Idols of Karuvurar, Bogar, Pulipaani, Idaikaadar, Sundaranandar, Therayar, Agasthiyar, Subramaniyar, Thirumoolar, Korakkar, Paambati Siddhar, Kuthambai Siddhar, Sivavakkiyar, Ramadevar, Machamuni, Sattaimuni, Punnakeesar, Pattinathar, Kaalanginathar, Brahmmendrar, Saibaba, Kaagabujandar, Azhukannar, Pathanjali, Konganar, Kamalamuni and Romarishi. This Temple is unique insofar as the Sthala Viruksham is concerned because this Temple has two Sthala Virukshams namely Vanni and Mandharai Tree. The Temple has ample car parking space. Since the Padharasa Lingam draws a lot of Devotees and Tourists this Temple is busy all through the day. Vinayagar Chathurthi, Aippasi Annabishegam, Arudhra Dharisanam, Masi Magam, Pradhosham, Navarathri, Maha Shivarathiri and the month of Tamil Maonth Karthigai are some of the festivals are celebrated in a grand manner.
