This Temple is called as Panduranga Swamy Temple or Pandu Ranga Perumal Temple. The Presiding Deity of this Temple is Lord Panduranga Swamy. He Blesses His Devotees along with His Consort Goddess Ragumayee Thaayar. Some staunch Devotees call Panduranga Swamy as Vittal or Vithal Pandu Ranga. The Temple is built by following the Northern and Southern styles of architecture. This Temple Complex resembles the Puri Jagannath Temple in Odisha and its front Gopurams have been constructed following the Pallava style of architecture. Both Orthodox Pooja Sampradaya of the South and the Bhajan Sampradaya of the North are followed in this Temple. The Temple was built by Gnanananda Swamigal and Haridas Giri Swamigal. Lord Panduranga stands majestically 12 feet tall and is made of Saligrama stone. There are many Sub Shrines for Gods and Goddesses namely Maha Shodasi, Rajarajeshwari, Saraswathi, Lakshmi, Brahmma, Vishnu, Rudra, Easwara, Vinayaka, Bala Annapoorani, Ashwaruda, Rajamadhangi, Varahi, Prathyangira, Sarabeswara, Chakrathaazhwar, Brahmi, Yoga Narasimha, Agoramurthy, Vanadurga, Parasakthi, Medha Dakshinamurthy, Subramanya, Chandi Mahalakshmi, Maheswari, Gaumari, Vaishnavi, Mahendri, Chamunda and Mahalakshmi. The Temple Tower is 120 feet tall and has a Nine and a Half feet tall Gold Kalasam along with Sudarsana Chakra and a saffron-coloured flag flying above the tower. Festivals like Vishu Kani Utsav, Gokulashtami are celebrated in a grand manner. Devotees have fondly started callimg this Temple as Dakshin Pandharpur or Pandharpur of South India.
