This Temple is located on the GST Road midway between Maduranthangam and Padaalam Koot Road and the Hamlet where the Temple is located is called as Mettupalayam which is very close to Karunguzhi. This Temple does not have any Rajagopuram, Dwajasthambam etc and the Temple does not have a compound wall or a Main gate. At the outset the Temple has a Sub Shrine for Vanni Marathu Vinayagar. Behind this is a huge Ant Hill which has been roofed and sheltered and they have erected a Angala Parameswari Amman Idol just before the Ant Hill. She looks resplendent and gorgeous and is East facing. There is a Simha Vaahanam, Bali Peedam and a Trident facing the Idol of Angala Parameswari. At the rear end of the Ant Hill is another Sub Shrine for Angala Parameshwari and Devotees have to circumambulate and reach Her from the rear of the Ant Hill to have Her Darshan. Adjacent to the Idol of Angala Parameshwari is an Idol of Durgai. The most attractive feature of this Temple is the huge Shiva Lingam known as Sri Thiruneelakandeswarar. He is East facing and is an incarnation of Lord Shiva. Since this Shiva Lingam is mammoth and massive it attracts Devotees not only coming to this Temple even those who pass by on the GST Road in their vehicles. They have placed another small Shiva Lingam of Thiru Neelakandeshwarar in a Shrine placed beneath a huge massive Shiva Lingam. There is a Nandhi Vaahanam and a Bali Peedam facing this Moolasthanam. Around the Koshtam of the Moolasthanam are Dhakshinamoorthy, Maha Vishnu, Brahmma, Chandikeshwarar and Kaala Bhairavar. They have placed another Angala Parameswari Idol who is guarded by a five headed huge serpant. Likewise there are a row of Naga Devatha Idols which have been placed well before the Thiru Neelakandeshwarar Shrine. There is a Sub Shrine for Ayyappan who is East facing and His Sub Shrine has a Mangalore type roofing. Next to this is Sri Saneeswaran Sannadhi who is also East facing. The Temple is unique since Bala Murugan is seen in His East facing Shrine all alone and not with Valli and Devasena. The Temple has a lone Arasa Maram beneath which there are several Naga Devatha Idols and also Idols for Raahu and Kethu. At the extreme right of the Temple is an exclusive Sub Shrine for Navagraham. This Temple has been built and taken care by Murugaian whose Divine services has to be appreciated. Now in recent days his son Rajkumar too has followed his Father's foot steps and has been doing remarkable services to this Temple. The Temple is very unique since it has a Vilva Maram, Rudraksha Maram, Arasa Maram and a Sandana Maram and all these Trees and Sapplings are very well taken care of. The Temple has a Sacred Tank or Pushkarani at the rear of the Temple and several Devotees have a hold dip here. This Sacred Tank is known as Yaathireegar Kulam. Since the Temple happens to be located on the main GST Road there is an over whelming number of Devotees who stop their vehicle and come here to Pray. Aippasi Annabishegam, Arudhra Dharisanam, Masi Magam, Pradhosham, Aadi Month, Navarathri are some of the festivals are celebrated in a grand manner.
