Sri Santhana Venugopalaswamy Temple is known as the Dakshina Govardhana Kshetra. The Presiding Deity of this Temple is Lord Krishna who is an incarnation of Lord Vishnu and He can be seen in a standing posture.  He is also called as Hucchu Gopala. The Sanctum Sanctorum of this Temple is built by following the Hoysala Style of Architecture and the outer structure of this Temple was built by Vijayanagara Kings and hence it was built by following the Vijayanagara Style of Architecture. This Temple has one of the beautiful Uthsava Moorthy and this is one of the eye catching aspect of this Temple. The other unique fact of this Temple is that there is a Ant Hill inside the Sanctum Sanctorum and Devotees used to pray to this Ant Hill.  There is a Danda which is called as Stick in English and was handed over to this Temple by Maharishi Koundinaya.  It is believed that this Dhanda has super natural powers and has a healing property. It is believed that the certain powers of this Maharishi has been  transferred  to this sacred Danda.  Danda Sparsha is performed only on Saturdays from 6 AM to 6 PM. Childless Couples visit this Temple and worship in order to get Child Boon since Santhana Venugopala Swami has Blessed many couples with Children.
