Sree Swarna Mahalakshmi Temple is located in a hamlet called Ramapuram on the outskirts of Sriperumbudur Town. The Temple has been built in Lancor Residential Complex and hence it is mandatory for any Devotee to stop at the Security Point at the entrance of the Lancor Society and make entries about them and their vehicle before they are let in. This is an East facing Temple in which the Presiding Deity is Sri Swarna Mahalakshmi. The Temple is built on an elevated premises and Devotees may have to climb 5 to 6 steps to reach the Temple complex. The Temple premises is simply dazzling and the entire Temple complex is borne on multiple pillars. There are two Elephant Idols, one on each side of the foot steps. On the top of the Maha Mandapam there is an Idol of Goddess Mahalakshmi at the centre and on either side of Her there are Idols for Dhakshinmoorthy, Vinayagar, Subramaniyar and Anjaneyar. Likewise at the rear top of the Temple Maha Mandapam there are Idols for Mahalakshmi, Saraswathy and Durgai. The Presiding Deity is made out of a black Vigraham and any Devotees seeing Her would be spell bound by Her sharp features and captivating beauty. On entering the Temple Mahamandapam There is a Bali Peedam and an Elephant Vigraham facing the Moolasthanam. On one side of the Moolasthanam is a Sub Shrine for Sri Maha Ganapathy and on the other side there is a Sub Shrine for Sri Bala Subramaniyar. At the threshold of the Moolasthanam are two Dwara Baalaki Idols and they stand as guards. Around the Koshtam of the Temple there are Idols for Dakshinamoorthy, Maha Saraswathy and Siva Durgai. In the Inner peripheral of the Temple there is an East facing Sub Shrine for Sri Rama Baktha Anjaneyar. The Temple has a Navagraha Sannadhi which seems to be mounted on a Lotus Flower like Podium. All the Idols of the Navagraha Sannadhi are seen with their Consorts. Here Sakthi Devi and Angaragan, Rohini Devi and Chandran, Sri Simi Devi and Raahu, Sri Neela Devi and Shani, Sri Chitraleka Devi and Kethu, Sri Thaara Devi and Guru, Sri Illa Devi and Bhudhan, Sri Sugirthi Devi and Sukran & Usha Devi, Prathyusha Devi with Suryan are seen clustered together as Navagrahams on top of the Lotus Podium. In the outer peripheral there is an East facing Sub Shrine in which the Idols of Sri Santhana Parameshwarar and Sri Santhana Gopalakrishnan are kept. There is a Arasa Maram and a Neem Tree which are close to each other. The Temple has a Temple Kitchen for making Prasadam etc. There is an exclusive Ghoshala built out of tinned roofing at the rear of the Temple. A Gho Pooja is performed here on every Tuesdays and Fridays. The entire Temple premises has a barbed wite fencing with a grill gate. The Temple is fitted with CCTV Cameras and the security guards of Lancor monitor this Temple and its premises 24 X 7. The Temple has a Garden or a Nandhavanam which is well maintainted. The following functions Pradosham, Navarathri, Sankadahara Chathurthi, Shasthi, Kiruthigai, Krishna Jayanthi are celebrated here with great fanfare during which time the Temple attracts an overwhelming number of Devotees from far and near.
