This Temple is located in Nellukaara Street close to Kamakshi Amman temple. Ulagalantha Perumal or Thiruvikraman, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu is the Presiding Deity. His Consort here is Amudhavalli or Kamalavalli. The Presiding Deity stands 35 Feet Tall & 24 Feet Wide. The Roof of the Sanctum is elevated accordingly to accommodate the Huge size of the Deity The Unique feature is that it has 4 Divyadesam in a Single Temple. It is said that earlier each Shrine was considered as a Temple, but later they all united together as a Single Temple. The Temple is built in a sprawling area of around 60,000 Square Feet and it has a Rajagopuram comprising of Three tiers. Area. According to certain historians this is the oldest Temple in Kanchipuram Town. The Temple is said to be built by Pallavas with later contributions from Cholas, Vijayanagaras & Madurai Nayaks. The Vamana Avathar is in the guise of a Brahmin to defeat Mahabali. The Legend behind this Divyadesam is Neer or Water and hence the name Thiruneeragathu Perumal. The Vimanam here is called as Saara Srikara Vimanam. The entire Temple is located 6 Feet below the ground level and the devotees have to get down by few steps to reach the Temple. . The Temple is revered by Thirumangai Alwar & Thirumazhisai Alwar. Vaikunda Ekadesi draws lots of Devotees from far flung places. The Temple Tank Naga Theertham is located outside the Main Temple.
