Makkah Mosque of Hyderabad is a congregational Mosque. It is one of the biggest Mosques of India. Over 20000 people can do Prayers or Namaaz together. This Mosque dates back to the 16th Century. This Mosque comes under the State Protected Monuments. Emperor Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah brought bricks from Mecca to build this Mosque. The triple arched Facades of the huge Mosque is made out of a single piece of Granite. Nearly 8000 workers were employed to build this massive Mosque Complex. The rectangular, curved & canopied building at the passage houses the graves of the Asaf Jahi Rulers. There are seperate Tombs for Nizams and their Families.
