Taj Ul Masajid is one of the largest Mosque not only in India but also in the entire Asia. This is one of the most beautiful monument that is located in Bhopal. This Mosque is also called as Darul Uloom Tajul Masjid. The entire Mosque complex is made out of pinkish red sandstone. This Mosque complex has three beautiful Domes and on either side these Domes are flanked by tall marble Domed Minarets. This Mosque has a two storied Gateway or a Welcome Arch. There is a huge Courtyard inside which a sacred tank can be seen and people who visit this Mosque are allowed to take a holy dip in it. The Hall and the Prayer Hall are made out of beautiful Marbles. The Walls of the Hall are decorated with Screens and Arches could be seen along the Qibla Wall. The Main Hall of this Mosque has gigantic pillars and a tall ceiling. The interior walls of this Mosque are decorated with floral designs. This Mosque was constructed by Shah Jehan Begum. She ruled Bhopal from 1868 to 1901. The renovation and re-construction was started in the 1970’s and was completed in the 1980’s. The Mighty Mosque is considered as the mother of all Mosque. Bhopal Tablighi Ijtema is a three day congregation here which draws many people from different parts of the world.
